At least four persons were injured in stone-pelting during a clash between two groups of the same community over the alleged eve-teasing of a woman in Muzaffarnagar district, a senior police official said today.
According to Circle Officer Rajive Kumar Singh, the clash broke out in Tabita village last evening.
The police has taken nine people into custody and the situation is under control, Singh added.
In another incident, a woman was allegedly beaten up after she resisted an eve-teasing attempt by a man at a colony in Muzaffarnagar town. The man was later handed over to the police by locals.
