Four persons were killed and eight others injured after the tyre of the jeep they were travelling in burst on Kusmania-Harangaon road in Dewas district today.
Kannod's Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sher Singh Bhuria said that the incident happened between Okra Kakaddi and Kusmaniya Haran villages, under Khategaon police station limits, today afternoon.
"The jeep overturned after its tyre burst, killing four people and injuring eight others including its driver," Bhuria said.
He identified the deceased as Savitri Bai (33), Rajesh (35), Rakesh (45) and Rameshwar (50).
The injured, he said, were treated initially at the Primary Health Centre in Kannod and then were referred to a hospital in Indore.
