All four died from electric shock after they came in contact with an earthing wire this morning in Sorar village under Gurur police station limits, a local police official told PTI.
The deceased were identified as Satyanarayan Patel (43), his mother Rajbati (60), wife Damini (35) and his younger brother's wife Chitralekha (21), he said.
The earthing wire, which was wet due to rain, had current flowing through it and prima facie it seems one of the women victims was putting clothes for drying on it when she got electric shock.
A case has been registered in this connection, he said, adding a probe was on.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Raman Singh condoled the deaths and expressed sympathy for their family.
