Infuriated over the accident, locals pelted stones and blocked road traffic for several hours on busy Aligarh-Agra road.
City Magistrate, Rekha S Chauhan, said the truck has been seized and a hunt was on for the driver who fled after the mishap.
The injured were rushed to a hospital.
Meanwhile, the UP government announced an ex gratia of Rs two lakh each to the kin of those killed in the accident.
