The elder siblings, Rakhi (13) and Deepali (7), have received serious burn injuries while Ashu (5) and Lucky (3) had minor injuries, said a police officer.
The boys were discharged after treatment while Rakhi and Deepali, who have sustained 40 per cent and 30 per cent burn injuries respectively, are admitted at the Safdarjung hospital, he said.
The four were studying in the room lit by a candle due to a power cut in the area. The fire was noticed around 9.30 PM yesterday, the police said.
Alerted by the cries of the children, neighbours rescued them and rushed them to hospital.
The father of the children, Sunil, who works as a driver and his wife, who works as a domestic help, were not present at the time of the incident.
