41 power sub stations to be installed in Chennai this year

: To improve the power situation in Chennai city, a total of 41 sub stations will be installed in the state capital, Electricity Minister Natham R Viswanathan informed the Assembly today.
Funds to the tune of Rs 2,963.34 crore would be spent to install these 41 sub stations across the city, he said during zero hour.
"Even as we are focussed on increasing power generation in the state, we are also improving the power infrastructure alongside to improve the situation in the future," he said.
He was replying to a query by AIADMK legislator M K Ashok from Velachery constituency.
