459 cases settled at Karimnagar Lok Adalat

As many as 459 cases were settled at the National Lok Adalat in Karimnagar district today.
Principal District Judge Renuka Yara said 93 civil, 225 criminal and 141 pre-litigation cases were settled and a compensation of Rs 3.17 crore was awarded to the petitioners in 75 cases.
Of this, compensation of Rs 2.93 crore was awarded to the petitioners in vehicle accident cases, the judge said.
She appealed to the litigants and lawyers to settle their cases in Lok Adalats whenever possible.
Additional judge Nagaraju, District Legal Services Authority secretary G Bhavani Chandra and others were present at the Lok Adalat.
