Five men were arrested for allegedly killing a 21-year-old man over suspicion that he had an extra-marital affair with the sister of two of the accused, police said on Monday.
Netaram was allegedly beaten to death on Friday in outer Delhi's Ranhola area, they said, adding that the accused even took the victim to the hospital but fled after learning that he had succumbed to injuries.
Ambika Prasad, his brother Ranjit and their associates Anil, Deshraj and Sonu were arrested on Sunday.
Netaram was working as a domestic help at Prasad's house-- the prime accused who is involved in 20 cases registered under the Excise and Arms Act, they said.
Prasad told police that his sister went missing from her husband's home seven months ago and the family had filed a police complaint.
However, Prasad later learnt that his sister was staying with Netaram at his home, the officer said.
