With the arrests, police claimed to have worked out nine cases of burglaries and recovered goods worth Rs 15 lakh.
Four of the accused -- Ravi, Ram Vilas, Mansoor and Anwar -- were arrested from near Siraspur Gurudwara in Delhi yesterday. Dinesh Goel, the fifth accused, was arrested subsequently from his shop in Alipur in Delhi.
Anwar and Dinesh Goel buy stolen goods, they added.
Ravi and Anwar procured a truck for the job. The gang would commit burglaries after midnight or in the early morning hours. They would break open the shutters and take away whatever goods they could lay their hands on.
