: Five unlicencsed textile dyeing units at Pallipalayam in the district were dismantled today by Pollution Control Board authorities, officials said.
Board sources said the action followed a similar exercise some months back when about 55 unlicensed units in and around Pallipalayam and Namakkal, which were also discharging effluents into water sources, were sealed.
They said appropriate action would be taken against the remaining closed factories also within a day or two.
