5-year-old girl raped by youth in UP; locals protest

A five-year-old girl was today raped allegedly by a youth in Jaswant Nagar area, a senior officer said here.
The girl, a student of class one, was lured by Sheetal Valmiki (25), who took her to the victim to a nearby field and raped her this morning, circle officer Jaswant Nagar Narendra Deo said.
When the local residents heard cries of the girl they reached the spot to rescue her and nabbed Sheetal, who was later handed over to police, Deo said.
The CO said that Sheetal has been detained and a case would be lodged once medical report of the girl is received.

Agitated with the incident people blocked Agra Highway and also damaged few vehicles. The road block was later lifted on the assurance of senior police officers.
