A total of 500 NCC cadets including army officers and civilian staff are taking part in a 10-day basic leadership camp here, a defence spokesperson said on Wednesday.
The camp commenced at the National Cadet Corps (NCC) ground in Nagrota on Tuesday and is being organised by the 1st J&K Armed Squadron NCC, Jammu, the official said.
He said 500 cadets of NCC Directorate, Jammu and Kashmir, including Army officers and civilian staff are participating in the camp which will provide military and weapon training to the participants apart from other physical and mental activities to bring out their leadership traits.
Camp Commandant Dharmendra Pandey welcomed all the cadets and instructing staff and emphasised that the NCC was a prime powerhouse which shapes quality individuals to serve the nation.
