501 cases disposed off in Lok Adalat in Jamshedpur

Altogether 501 cases, including dispute related to banking sector, have been disposed off at the National Lok Adalat at the Civil Court premises here, an official release said.

A sum of about Rs 2.84 crore was collected. It included Rs one crore from banking disputes related to Non-performing assets (NPA) at the Lok Adalat yesterday.

Of the 501 cases, the release said, 237 criminal cases were also disposed off and a sum of Rs about 1.28 crore recovered as penalty.

A bench comprising 12 members including judicial officers and non-judicial members was formed to resove the cases.
