Congress candidate Bluebell R Sangma, Garo National Council candidate Kalpana D Sangma and National Peoples' Party's Phillipole D Marak filed their nomination papers before the Returning Officer in Baghmara yesterday while independent candidates Seconton K Sangma, T R Marak, Daewish S Marak filed their papers today, Returning Officer Tangseng G Momin told PTI.
The scrutiny of their papers will be held tomorrow at the Returning Officer's office at 11 am while the last date for withdrawal of candidature is Saturday, he said.
The State's Election Office has sought deployment of additional 1000 para military force personnel in the constituency in which over 22,000 voters will cast their votes in 46 polling stations, Momin said.
The polling will take place on June 27 from 8 am to 4 pm.
