6 held, 124 ATM cards recovered

Acting on a complaint, the police raided a hotel and a PNB ATM outlet and arrested six persons with the haul of cash and ATM cards, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Neeraj Kumar said.

The accused, all part of a gang, had stolen the cards from various places and used to withdraw cash in a fraudulent manner, he said.

The six were identified as Shivshankar Nayak, Arun Kumar, Tuntun Sah, Rajkishore Sah, Deepak Naik and Pradeep Sah, natives of Madhwa village located on either side of the Indo-Nepal border, Kumar said.
