Responding to a point raised by MLA Usman Majeed in the Assembly in this regard, Minister for Revenue Abdul Rehman Veeri said that the six persons -- Ehsaan Ahmad Mir, Athar Majeed Shah, Zaffar Qureshi, Sayeem Wani, Ghulam Mohammed (driver) and Shameem Awan, were residents of Bandipora.
He said according to the information provided by the Rajasthan Police, these persons were stopped by the BSF as they had entered a prohibited area and were handed over to the police.
He said all the persons were released on Sunday evening according to the Rajasthan Police, and further details were awaited.
