The accident took place near Rahimpur village late last night when the truck hit the car, which was heading towards Aurangabad, from behind. As a result, the car jumped the divider and came on the other side of the road where it again collided with an SUV coming from the opposite direction, they said.
Five of the deceased were identified as Ashok P Thorat (45), Bhagwan B Dudhe (43) (both policemen), Syed Maheboob Ismail (34), Shaikh Mohsin Musa (30) and Shaikh Majid Raheman (45).
