"Six persons were arrested from sector 49 area last night and about 18 kg ganja was seized from them," he said.
They were identified as Nepal alias Tomy, Ram Karan, Babloo, Ranjit, Sanjiv and Krishan, he said, adding, they were booked under the Narcotics Act and sent to jail.
In another checking drive, Sector 49 police has arrested one liquor smuggler Mukesh and seized 82 bottles of smuggled liquor from him while another liquor smuggler Neeraj was arrested from sector 58 and 48 bottles of smuggled liquor were recovered from him.
