day-light robbery of Rs 1.5 crore by posing as Income Tax officers, have been arrested, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Sudhir Bhati (26), Praveen Kumar (32), Deepak Bhati (26), Devender Tiwari alias Deepu (33), Deepak Kumar (35) and Jitender Negi alias Deepu (30) and seized Rs 1.41 crore cash and two cars used in the crime.
"The gang had committed a robbery of Rs 1.50 crore in Kotwali area on July 18. They had cheated one Raghvendra Bansal by posing as Income Tax officials," a senior police officer said.
