Idol-stealer tells police he got sleepless nights

A thief who stole precious Jain idols was prompted to dump them near another temple because he spent three sleepless nights soon after committing the crime, he told the police.
Gautam Nishad (30) stole idols from Digambar Jain Temple situated in the Savarkar Ward here on July 3, police said.
The idols were recovered by the police on July 26 from Sant Nagar area.
According to police, Jain, who was arrested yesterday on suspicion, admitted to the crime, and further said that after the theft he could not sleep for three nights in a row.
Not just that, he claimed that wherever he went during the three days, he ran into police. Finally he decided to get rid of the idols, police said.

Afterwards he could sleep well, he told police.
