6 students sustain burns as school bus catches fire

Six students today sustained burn injuries after their school bus caught fire in the Nagina area here, police said.
According to police, the incident took place in the afternoon near the Rawal Hedi railway crossing as a short- circuit sparked a fire in the vehicle.
The 17 students who were inside the bus were rescued by its driver and locals. Six of the students were found to have sustained burns and were taken for treatment to Najibabad, police said, adding that their condition is now stable.
