6 years in jail for 3 Gangsters

A district court awarded six years rigorous imprisonment (RI) to three criminals under the gangsters act today.
Special Judge RC Yadav has awarded RI of 6 years each to three accused Chhatrapal, Jitendra and Pawan, said senior Prosecution Officer Lalit Mudgal.
The accused were involved in kidnapping for ransom, helping a criminal to escape from police custody, shelter to criminals, he said.
They were booked under the gangsters act at Noida phase 2 police station. During trial, the prosecution produced seven witnesses. The court observed that the prosecution has succeeded in proving the guilt of accused which was sufficient for their conviction, said Mudgal.
