With the entrance exams for various disciplines in JNU to begin tomorrow, the administration is all set to accommodate around 60,000 aspirants in 80 centres across the country.
"A control room in JNU would coordinate with the staff deputed at all 80 centres across the country," Milap Punia, Director Admissions of JNU said.
People handling a helpline number 8010-855-855 - outsourced to a private company - will also be quick to respond, he said.
Around 60,000 applicants will be taking the exams for 1,665 seats in undergraduate and post-graduate, and for 258 seats in MPhil, PhD and Mtech programmes.
"On an average 30 students will be competing for one seat, as against 28 last year," Punia said.
The agitation on seat cuts has not influenced the number of applicants, he added.
The exams will end on Friday.
