61 TASMAC employees suspended

: District officials today ordered suspension of 61 employees of TASMAC liquor shops following reports of large-scale irregularities.
The Officials who conducted surprise checks on complaints that liquor was being sold for more than the Maximum retail price, said they found unaccounted money in several shops.
A total of 230 shops were inspected, they said, adding those suspended included seven employees of the TASMAC office and supervisors in the shops.
