According to Senior Superintendent of Police Nitin Tiwari, S Kumar and his 85-year-old mother Girija were murdered last night with sharp weapons at their Sector 14 residence.
Neighbours were alerted this morning by a cooking gas delivery man after nobody responded to his calls at the said residence.
The neighbours contacted Kumar's Delhi-based brother, who then informed the police about the matter.
The motive behind the murders is being probed into, the SSP said adding, no theft appears to have been committed at the residence.
