The polling percentage was expected to rise as reports from the remote areas were yet to come in, official sources said.
Heavy rains marred polling in the early hours though it picked up later in the day.
There were no reports of any untoward incident from any part of the district.
Polling was held in 813 polling booths of which 242 were categorised as very sensitive and 268 as sensitive.
Repolling, if any, will be held on June 20 while the counting will take place on June 22.
Of the 26 seats for which the polls will be conducted, 10 are in Diphu sub-division, nine in Hamren and seven in Bokajan.
