7 civilians hurt in grenade attack

Seven civilians, including a woman, were injured today as suspected militants threw a grenade on a road aiming to target a vehicle of security forces in Anantnag town, about 55 kms from here.
The grenade thrown by the militants missed the intended target and exploded on the roadside, injuring a woman and six other civilians, police said.
The injured have been rushed to the local district hospital for treatment, police added.
A hunt has been launched to nab the militants involved in the attack, police said.
No militant outfit has claimed responsbility for the incident.
