7 die in truck-tempo collision

Seven people were killed and four injured in a collision between a truck and a tempo in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur district today.
All the seven, two of them children, died at the scene, police said adding the accident happened near Sarau culvert on Bareilly-Shahjahapur national highway.
The injured were hospitalised, they said.
Drivers of both the vehicles fled and efforts were on to trace them, police said.
