Following a tip off about the gang's operation in Pared and Maniram Bagiya area, Crime Branch and local police team conducted a raid and nabbed the accused, SSP Yashaswi Yadav said.
Numerous high school, inter, graduate, postgraduate, BBA, BSc, and MBA market sheets and degrees from various institutions have been recovered from their possession, Yadav said.
Government-approved voter identification cards with 34 paper stamps and Rs 60,000 have also been seized, he said.
The other accused are Kamlesh Gupta, Nitin Aggarwal, Madanmohan, Ashish Sharma and Shyamji.
Police is searching for other members involved in the racket and trying to identify the persons from which the gang used to buy fake mark sheets, he said.
