7, including 2 children, killed in separate mishaps

As many as seven persons, including two children, were killed in separate mishaps in the district, police said.
A couple and their two children died on the spot near Narayana Reddi Palli village in Sambepalli mandal when their motorcycle was knocked down by a chartered bus enroute to Proddatur from Chittoor last evening, a sub-inspector at Sambepalli police station said.
The deceased were identified as Surenaik (35), a teacher, his wife Sumathi (32) and their two children Susanth (8) and Soni (5), he said.
In another accident, M Nagaraju was killed when his motorcycle rammed into a bullock cart near Veeraballi mandal yesterday, Rayachoty rural circle inspector Prabhakar said.

Besides, a person, identified as Chintakunta Dastigiri, died after getting electrocuted when he was trying to light a bulb at his house in the district's Duvvur mandal yesterday, a police officer said.
In another incident, villager A Narayana died when a small shelter, made to cover an electric motor used in agriculture, collapsed in Bondalakunta village of Muddanur mandal.
Narayana had climbed the shelter and when it collapsed, he fell down. He sustained head injury in the mishap and died on the spot, Muddanur police said.
