At least seven persons were today killed and 40 others injured when a bus carrying more than 50 people collided with a road barrier in central China's Hunan Province.
The accident took place when the bus, carrying passengers from a company in the capital city Changsha, overturned on the expressway from Changsha City to Xinning County, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
The employees were on their way to Langshan Mountain in Xinning.
Rain had made driving conditions unsafe and the bus crashed into the guardrail after the driver hit the brake and overturned, the report said.
Four persons were killed on the spot while three others passed away at hospital, authorities confirmed.
Forty others have sustained injuries in the incident.
