7 killed, 6 injured in road accident in UP

At least seven persons were today killed and six others injured when their vehicle lost control and hit a tree in Kakrala road in Alapur area here, the police said.
The incident took place this evening when their SUV hit the tree, killing seven, including two children and the driver, Superintendent of Police (SP) Chandra Prakash said.
The injured were admitted to a hospital where their condition was stated to be serious, they said.
The victims were identified as Amjad (24), Raja (36), Imrana (37), Parveen (15), Farhan (10), Shamreen (47) and a six-month-old boy.
An investigation is being carried out in this matter, the police said.
