The accused, identified as Imran Shamim Khan (21), was today arrested by the police in the rape case that took place a week ago.
According to police, the parents of the girl came to know about it yesterday, following which they lodged a complaint and Khan was arrested from his residence.
Police said that Khan was living alone and had got acquainted with the the victim and her parents as they lived next to each other.
On the day of the incident, after finding the girl alone at home, Khan sexually assaulted her.
