"On a tip-off, three members of the smuggling gang including the driver have been arrested and 700 boxes of wine were recovered from their canter," they said.
The Kanpur-bound vehicle was coming from Chandigarh when it was halted near Raya cut on Yamuna Expressway in the afternoon.
"The market value of the liquor is over Rs 21 lakh", District Excise Officer Pawan Kumar said.
The mastermind of the gang is based in Chandigarh and this lot has been dispatched from there, they said.
