73 roads strategically important along China border

As many as 73 roads were identified as strategically important for construction along the China border.

Out of the 73 roads, 19 roads measuring 440.74 km are in Uttarakhand, Defence Minister A K Antony told Lok Sabha today.

The government has also approved construction and upgradation of 1,377 km of roads along the Nepal border (173 km in Uttarakhand, 640 km in Uttar Pradesh and 564 km in Bihar).
