8 BSF companies deployed in border range: ADGP

ADGP (Law and Order) Rohit Chaudhary today reviewed the security arrangements in Batala district, following the terror attack on Dina Nagar police station a fortnight ago.
He held a closed-door meeting with top police officers, including Inspector General (Border Range) Lok Nath Angra.
Later speaking to mediapersons here, Angra said eight companies of Border Security Force (BSF) have been deployed in the border range, besides further tightening of security.
SSP Harpreet Singh, SP (Investigation) Pardeep Malik and SP headquarters Jatinder Singh Mand were also present in the meeting.
