While the first incident occurred at Sanadhandadi village, the other incident occurred at Raisuan village, the police said.
Both the incidents took place due to careless handling of half-burnt firecrackers after Diwali celebrations, said Inspector in-Charge of Basta Police Station Dhaneswar Sahu.
Seven boys were injured at Sanadhandadi village in Kuradiha area when they set fire to a pile of half-burnt crackers they had collected, he said.
In a similar incident at Raisuan village under Basta block, an 11-year-old boy sustained burn injuries, he said.
It may be noted that an explosion in an illegal firecracker manufacturing unit at Bahabalpur in the district on October 18 had left 11 people dead and four others critically injured.
