In Cooch Behar district 86.05 per cent electorate had cast their votes, while in East Midnapore the figure was 87.17 per cent, Election Commission announced today.
The overall average in the sixth phase was 86.76 per cent for 25 seats in the two districts where 58 lakh people were enfranchised for the Assembly elections.
All the phases of the election have seen over 80 per cent turnouts. The fifth phase had recorded 81.66 per cent, fourth phase 81.25 per cent, third phase 82.28 per cent and second phase 83.05 per cent.
Results of the Assembly elections will be declared on May 19.
