The incident took place around 6.30 AM when the people were returning in the tempo after attending a fair in Sikandrabad, they said.
Those killed were identified as driver of the tempo, Vipin (20), Mangeram (30), Naresh (18), Madhu (18), Meenu (10), Rani (19), Bablu (28), Kashish (10) and Yogendra (23).
The injured have been rushed to the hospital where their condition was stated to be stable.
