90 kg opium seized from smuggler

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Madhya Pradesh police today seized 90 kg opium and 660 kg of poppy husk from a notorious smuggler in a joint operation here.
Bhawani Singh and his accomplice Himmat Singh were arrested from Sagrana village, Neemuch district Superintendent of Police (SP) Rudolf Alvares and NCB Joint Director B R Meena told reporters.
The seized contraband was supposed to be transported to other states.
The police also seized a car, a truck and Rs 2.58 lakh in cash from them, they said.
