93,000 children in Puducherry to be given polio drops

Around 93,000 children aged below five would be administered polio drops in the union territory under the two-round Intensified Pulse Polio Immunisation Programme on January 27 and February 21.
A release from the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare today said around 2,000 staff would be deployed to administer the drops.
A total of 441 booths and 17 transit and border booths had been set up for the purpose, it said.
