The festival, organised by Vinsan World company and state government-run Kala Academy, will be held at Kala Academy, Maquiniz Palace and Inox multiplex here from June 3-5, festival's director Sanjay Shetye said.
"The core of the festival lies in its lineup of films and this year's lineup will feature critically acclaimed and national award winning films of the season," he said.
"One of the biggest launches and world premiere at the festival this year is the mega multi-starrer 'One Way Ticket'. The movie boasts of being filmed in countries like Spain, Italy and France and being the first Marathi film to be shot on a cruise," Shetye said.
Directed by Amol Shetge, "One Way Ticket" stars Shashank Ketkar, Sachit Patil, Amruta Khanvilkar, Gashmeer Mahajani, Neha Mahajan in the lead roles.
First Indo-American Marathi film "Dot Com Mom" is another highlight of the festival, he said.
Helmed by Meena Nerurkar, the film portrays an emotional relationship between a mother and her son.
"It is the first time that 11 producers have come together to make a film which has been mostly shot in the US," Shetye said.
Recent Marathi blockbuster "Sairat", which is the first Indian film to record music at Sony Scoring Studios in Hollywood Los Angeles and was selected for 66th Berlin International Film Festival, will also be screened.
Films "Biscuit", "Damlelya Babachi Kahani", "Enemy", "Halal", "Kaul", "Partu", "Rajwade and Sons", "Ringan" and "Vakratunda Mahakaaya" will also be screened, he said.
