allegedly involved in at least 10 cases including murder and robberies in Odisha's Ganjam district, was arrested after an exchange of fire with police at Lanjipalli near here today.
The accused and a sub-inspctor of police were injured during the exchange of fire, said Berhampur sub-divisional police officer Shantanu Das.
Both were admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital here.
A country-made pistol, explosive materials and a motorbike were seized from the accused, Das said.
