Rejecting BJP's contention that Delhi will benefit if it comes to power as this will ensure better coordination with the Centre, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal today said the people should not make the "mistake" of supporting the saffron outfit.
"They say the same party at the Centre and in the state is good for better coordination. But don't do that mistake. If that happens then the Delhi Chief Minister will be the Centre and BJP's puppet," he said.
"If the Centre does anything wrong then Aam Aadmi Party will (take care)..." Kejriwal said, raising his fist for a few seconds and then adding, "You understood right?...Is there any need to explain?"
His comments come in the backdrop of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh's statement two days ago in which he had said that there would be a better coordination with the central government if Delhi was also ruled by the BJP.
The former Delhi Chief Minister was addressing Village- Delhi Dialogue at Ghuman Hera village on the Delhi-Haryana border.
Kejriwal said his government would put pressure on the Centre to implement the "one rank, one pension" scheme for ex-servicemen as announced by the BJP.
The former Delhi chief minister attacked the Centre over issues ranging from inflation, black money and corruption, and challenged it to show the development done by the BJP in six months vis-a-vis the performance of his 49-day government.
AAP and BJP, two main parties, are locked in a battle to win the Delhi Assembly elections. AAP had won 28 seats while BJP had won 31 in last Assembly election held in December 2013.
For AAP, it is the battle of survival, after losing all seven seats of Delhi in the Lok Sabha elections.
