The technician who was checking the alignment of the visitor's entry door at Gate No 3 of the international departure terminal was "slightly injured" due to the accidental falling of the door glass, AAI said in a statement.
He was treated at the Airport Apollo Centre, it said.
"There were no visitors inside the terminal and no operations were affected due to this incident", it added.
Referring to frequent occurrence of such incidents, AAI said, "It has undertaken an exercise in which all the glazed doors and fittings are checked systematically, so as to initiate remedial measures in minimising the chances of glass breakage at the terminal".
In October last year, Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju visited the airport following complaints received by him regarding deficiencies in development of infrastructure as well as deficiency in maintenance standards.
