AAP demands immediate action to stop hoarding of onion

Aam Aadmi Party today demanded "urgent action" against those hoarding onions.
AAP's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal said the rate of Rs 100 for per kilogram of onion was "not natural but artificially created".
"AAP demands immediate action from the Delhi government in the matter so that common man does not suffer from such high prices whose home budget has got disturbed because of it," he said.
The party said that there were reports that difference between wholesale and retail price of onions in Delhi was unusually high by Rs 30-40 compared to other parts of the country where it is only Rs 2-15.

"Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) feels the matter requires urgent action as hoarding of onions and artificial jacking up of their price is severely affecting the people of Delhi," it said, adding urgent inquiry should be launched into the matter due to which prices have reached around Rs 100 per kilogram.
AAP also alleged "inaction" by the Delhi government in providing relief to the common man and demanded that authorities immediately take steps to ease the situation.

Meanwhile, famous Sufi singer Rabbi Shergill today extended his support for AAP and promised to campaign for it.
The 38-year-old singer of "Bulla ki jaana main kaun" fame who has been an ardent supporter of the Janlokpal campaign, said that he was really excited "that the movement for direct democracy was shaping out in his town:.

He said he was glad to contribute his bit in the movement.
