Delhi unit party chief Manoj Tiwari told reporters that the BJP government at the Centre had handled the matter "sensitively" and issued directions for the CBI enquiry but it was regrettable that the AAP was creating "confusion" among the students.
"The AAP was surprised by the fast and sensitive decision of the central government, and now they are trying to mislead the candidates and instigate them to continue their dharna," he alleged.
Tiwari along with the protesting candidates met Home Minister Rajnath Singh and the SSC chairman on Sunday following which a CBI inquiry was ordered by the government.
Tiwari charged the AAP government with adopting a "confrontational" style that had "stalled" development in Delhi.
"The Arvind Kejriwal-led government has been indulged in the politics of confrontation on every issue due to which development and day to day administration has come to a standstill," he alleged.
