The Aam Aadmi Party is likely to release the third list of candidates this week, with top contenders being Alka Lamba, who had joined the party after AAP's spectacular debut, and its West Delhi Lok Sabha candidate Jarnail Singh.
The party is planning to give a ticket to Jarnail Singh, from either Rajouri Garden or Jangpura.
Name of former Congress leader Alka Lamba for Chandni Chowk constituency is also on the probables list. Lamba campaigned for the party in Lok Sabha and also for party chief Arvind Kejriwal in Varanasi.
Former Apple executive Adarsh Shastri, who contested from Allahabad Lok Sabha seat, could be fielded from Dwarka, replacing former MLA Rajesh Garg while Pankaj Pushkar, a party volunteer, may be fielded from Timparpur.
"The list has been finalised for some seats. Once Arvind (Kejriwal) returns, we will release the list. We are still in the process of selecting a best suited candidate for a few constituencies.
"In some seats, we have a better face, but we dont have a strong party base. In some seats, we have a strong volunteer base, but no good face. We are vying all our options," said a senior party leader.
The party has already released two lists of 35 candidates, which includes 18 of its sitting MLAs, which also includes its six ministers.
