"I think, in a way it is an unexpected result, I mean, this kind of margin, this kind of victory, they have just swept the polls and we have to think about it.
"One major thing is that the country still thinks secularism is very important," she told reporters here.
Asked whether the election results was a referendum on the Narendra Modi-led NDA government, she said that it was too early to comment on it.
Alleging that the Returning Officer was not acting neutral, she said that the Yatri Nivas in Srirangam, which was meant to host pilgrims, is being used for electioneering by AIADMK in Tamil Nadu.
"Money is being distributed. That could not be stopped," she charged.
