The BCCI has invited applications for the post of senior and junior selector.
"Yes Aashish is likely to apply for the job. He has right credentials and has a vast knowledge of domestic talent having worked with IPL team Delhi Dealerships and now with various India A sides," a source told PTI today.
Aashish is 45-year-old and has played 4 Tests and 19 ODIs for India in mid 90s apart from 128 first-class matches. He has represented Punjab and Tamil Nadu in Ranji Trophy. There aren't more than 50 retired Indian cricketers who fits all of BCCI's criteria for senior selection.
